Bursaries

This list may change from time to time. Last updated on 2 September 2010

Bursaries for full-time RP students are offered at different times of the academic year and the eligibility criterion varies. Please refer to your RP student email account or this webpage for bursaries that are opened for application.

General Eligibility Criteria

  1. Students who are already in receipt of a scholarship or bursary should not be applying for another bursary in the same academic year. However, those who have applied for, or are on the Tuition Fees Loan Scheme, CPF Approved Education Scheme or Mendaki Fee Subsidy Scheme are eligible to apply, unless otherwise stated.
  2. Students must have already gained admission or enrolled in a full-time course at the time of application and receipt of bursary.
  3. Bursaries are usually awarded for one academic year unless stated otherwise. Students are required to apply annually for consideration.
  4. Late application will not be accepted.

  • Good academic results with GPA ≥ 2.5
  • Potential to contribute to the society/industry
  • Other eligibility criteria specifies by the donors may apply
  • Shortlisted applicants are required to attend a compulsory interview session

  • Priority will be given to students not in receipt of other government/company/charity funded scholarship or bursary award

Kuok Foundation Educational Assistance Award

Eligibility Criteria
  • Malaysian Citizen (include Singapore Permanent Resident)
  • Full time enrolled students who are in their Year 2 or Year 3 in AY10/11
  • Good academic results with GPA 3.0
  • *Household Gross Monthly Per Capita Income (PCI) should be less than SGD$500 (or RM1,150 if household income is in Malaysian Ringgits)
  • Actively involved in CCAs and/or community work
  • Not in receipt of other bursary/scholarship in the current academic year
  • No disciplinary records
Component/Quantum
  • Up to RM12,000 per annum
    • Up to RM6,000 in grant
    • Up to RM6,000 in study loan. This interest free study loan in repayable in monthly installments to Kuok Foundation after you graduate in RP

Sembawang Tian Ho Keng Temple Bursary Awards

Eligibility Criteria
  • Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents residing in Canberra (refer to ANNEX of the application form for the residential blocks under Canberra)
  • *Gross monthly household income of less than $1,500 (for families with 1 to 2 children) or less than $1,800 (for families with 3 or more children)
  • Regular attendance in school
  • One application per family only
  • Not in receipt of other scholarship, bursary or study grant in the same academic year
  • Completed application form with supporting documents should be submitted to The Jelutung Community Club
  • Successful applicants will be notified to attend the award presentation ceremony by end April 2010

  • Students from low-income single-parent families
  • Referred by a Voluntary Welfare Organisation (VWO) e.g Family Service Centre or Single Parent Family Service Centre
  • *Gross monthly per capita income of S$1,300 and below
Component/Quantum Percentage of subsidy is tiered based on monthly per capita household income

Capped at maximum of S$5,000 per annum

  • Full-time students studying in mainstream schools who have physical disabilities
  • Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents
  • In their final semester and about to proceed to the next level of education
  • Total gross monthly family income of S$3,000 or below
  • Not in receipt of another scholarship or bursary
  • Students who have only visual or hearing impairments but no physical disabilities are not eligible to apply
