Basketball (F) won third position in IVP Basketball 09/10

This year, Republic Polytechnic (RP) basketball girls made history by clinching the third position in IVP 09/10.

In the first round, the team competed with 4 other teams and lost only one game by 5 points. Although it was a defeat, it motivated the girls to do even better for the next few games to get into the semi finals.

The team met up with the champion of IVP 09/10 in the semi finals but nevertheless fought with determination. No one gave up before the last whistle was blown. Every player who was on the court fought for every ball.

The last game of the tournament was where the girls fought for the third position against the team they had lost to in the first round. It was a tough fight but the team managed to bring themselves up to another level of play. In the end, the team won the opposition by 1 point.

Throughout the competition, teamwork was displayed even as they encouraged one another. The players who were watching the competition cheered for those who were on the court, thus bringing up their fighting spirit.

All the intensive trainings the team had gone through are paid off. Congratulations to Team RP for winning the title and bringing glory to Republic Polytechnic!
