This impacts the way ideas and information are communicated to an increasingly diverse audience. Hence, the need for communication professionals who are proficient in communication and information design.

The DCID differentiates itself from the other diploma programmes with its strong emphasis on communication theories and practice. It aims to develop sound communication skills - good writing in particular - which is the hallmark of a competent communications graduate. In addition, DCID graduates will be both skilled and strategic communicators. They will not only be able to produce good quality work but also effectively contribute to a company’s business goals. The emphasis on cross-cultural communication prepares students to interact and communicate in a borderless global society.

Programme Aims

  • proficient and confident communicators in both local and cross-cultural contexts,
