Diploma In Aerospace Avionics

About the Programme

Singapore is currently one of the most comprehensive aerospace maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) hubs in Asia-Pacific. This sector constitutes about 90% of the $4 billion aerospace industry and employs over 11,000 people. Singapore will continue building its capabilities as an international one-stop centre in aerospace avionics to serve both regional and global markets, supported by the rapidly growing air travel in the region.

In response to this burgeoning industry, RP has launched the Diploma in Aerospace Avionics (DAA) to take advantage of the immense opportunities in the Asia Pacific aerospace industry.

Programme Aims

This programme aims to develop knowledgeable and enterprising young professionals who will be able to apply their skills in the field of aerospace avionics technologies, in particular, aircraft electrical systems, instrumentation, avionics and sensors. You will be adept in the art of problem solving and become effective learners in the ever-evolving arena of this high-tech industry.

The programme will provide a well-rounded education that comprising both technical know-how and general capabilities. Discipline and specialisation-specific modules will equip our graduates with a solid understanding of aerospace avionics. General modules will ground you in innovation, creativity, entrepreneurship, as well as train communication and life-long learning skills.

Your Future Career

DAA graduates can look forward to excellent career prospects and ample opportunities in the aerospace as well electronics industries. Their potential employment opportunities are available in the more than 100 aircraft MRO companies and companies that engaged in design, development, manufacturing and testing of aircraft flight components or in-flight entertainment systems. They can be employed as assistant or associate engineers in diverse areas such as product design and development, equipment testing, technical marketing, applications support, and manufacturing as well as technical support personnel.

Graduates may also choose to pursue further education and to this end, all our diploma programmes are designed to meet the requirements for advanced standing in local and overseas Institutions of Higher Learning (IHLs).
