About the Programme
The Diploma in Integrated Events Management (DIEM) prepares students for professional practice in this industry. Students will learn to leverage technology to create, manage and innovate the processes of events management. They will learn to seize business opportunities by honing their entrepreneurial skills and forge ahead with their customer-focused, service-minded and technology-driven solutions.
The DIEM aims to produce graduates who can support Singapore’s positioning as the leading event organising hub in Asia. It seeks to educate students with relevant industry knowledge so they can hit the ground running with an innovative and enterprising mindset to challenge industry norms. It aims to groom graduates able to help Singapore attain and maintain its leadership position in this industry within Asia.
The Events Management industry is expected to grow substantially in tandem with Singapore’s positioning as a global city. Singapore plans to grow its sports, art and entertainment sectors. Major infrastructure development such as the Esplanade and the Integrated Resort would generate the demand for professional and skilled workforce in this sector.
Graduates join the events management industry as junior executives, working in a wide array of service sector (private and public) from meeting, incentive, convention, conference, sports, health, leisure and performing arts.
Graduates may also choose to pursue further education and to this end, all our diploma programmes are designed to meet the requirements for advanced standing in local and overseas Institutions of Higher Learning (IHLs).
