School of Sports, Health and Leisure
The School of Sports, Health and Leisure (SHL)
vision of being the leading educator in sports,
health and leisure provides students the assurance
of programmes that are both academically rigorous
and industry relevant.
SHL's mission is to nurture students to be industry
ready professionals, through innovative curriculum
and research and developments, in partnership with
stakeholders. This is achieved through our
innovative problem based learning approach,
involvement in industry-related R&D projects, and a
holistic individual development roadmap which seeks
to prepare students to be ready professionals for
the sports and leisure industry.
SHL staff are guided by the following core values to

Officially launched in December 2005, SHL received
its pioneer intake of 210 students in April 2006.
Enrollment has since grown to more than 900
students.
