RP Orientation Programme 2008
Curiosity, excitement, uncertainty. These were just some of the emotions experienced by RP’s new intake of close to 5,000 students during the start of the three-day Orientation Programme held on 2 April 2008.

School of Information and Communications Technology

Welcome to School of Information and Communications Technology (SIT) at the Republic Polytechnic!

As students of the new age, you are faced with the constant challenges of learning something new every so often. You are also exposed to emerging information and communications technologies while in the process of learning the latest ones. You are and will be frequently bombarded with innovative ICT implementations that affect you even as you familiarize yourself with what’s out there now. How do you keep up? How can you learn progressively?

At SIT, we aim to train you to be not only an all rounded ICT professional with broad based knowledge but also one with life-long learning, team work, communication, inter-personal relationship and problem solving skills that will help you to progress with the ever changing ICT landscapes. Changes are inevitable and you can manage as well as help others to manage them because you’ll have attained the skills to do so.
